DEGREASING SOLVENT, LOW ODOR SOLVENT – FAST DRYING CHARACTERISTICS.

All the products under specification MIL-PRF-680 are hydrocarbon based solvents used as degreasers and cleaners for painted and unpainted metal surface and degreasing of machine parts in equipment maintenance.

TYPE I is intended for use where a low odor solvent with fast drying characteristics is desired. This solvent is currently defined as flammable material due to its low flash point. It is recommended that the alternative solvents for Type I are Type II, III and IV.

Advantages

MIL-PRF-680 Type I has replaced PD-680 Type I and has the following advantages:

Safe to personnel contains less than 0,01% aromatics in comparison to PD-680 Type I that contains approximately 20%.
Almost odorless.
Much safer to metals in comparison to PD-680 Type I.
More efficient.
Since it does not contain aromatics it is much safer to the environment.

Usage

Used neat by brush, spray or dipping. Do not rinse off allow to dry.
