ALKALINITY CONTROL

Concentrated alkaline liquid providing the adjustments of the water alkalinity.

ALKALINITY CONTROL is a concentrated alkaline liquid product for corrosion and scale control in boilers.

This treatment is part of Eurochem’s Coordinated Treatment Program.

Alkalinity Control provides the alkaline conditions for Hardness Control to function correctly.

ALKALINITY CONTROL is characterized as a safe food additive in accordance with U.S. regulations FDA (CFR code 173.310 Boiler Water Additives).

Application

ALKALINITY CONTROL is used for all boiler pressures mainly for providing the required alkaline conditions within the boiler for corrosion  control, by neutralization of acid gases and by the establishment of passivating layer (magnetite).

Dosage

The recommended initial dosage is 235-280 mililiters per ton of boiler water depending on the boiler  pressure. Check P-Alkalinity and adjust according to the table below.

Proper treatment should normally give a pH between 9.5 and 11. These are recommended limits for levels of treatment.

They are not intended to replace boiler manufacturer’s specifications or company regulations.

USING THE TABLE: Select the section corresponding to the pressure of the boiler to be treated and read across the table to obtain the level of treatment required.
